Special education/Practising (SPG/E-PRA)

  • Teaching methods: Seminars, observations, reflection tasks.
  • Examination method and requirements: Written report from practising containing comparison and analysis of special educational system.
  • Status of the course in study program: compulsory in both – full-time and part-time – bachelor’s programs of the Special Education. The course is provided by the Department of Special Pedagogy.

Annotation:

The course provides practical background to the Czech special and inclusive learning system of persons with special needs. Students will get experience through visits and practising at schools and institutions taking care of handicapped persons. Academic team of the Department of Special Education will concentrate on this subject individually due to theoretical framework of each student. Achievement of the subject goals will be realised in the form of a written report from practising.

Aims and objectives:

The main aim of this course is to get familiar with the environment of special and mainstreaming education in the Czech Republic.
