Synopsis / description / annotation:

The course deals with some key issues on school education of Romani People, who live in the Czech Republic. The course presents the main facts, approaches towards Romani school education, explain the mail long lasting and still existing problem in school educational system in the Czech Republic. The course also deals with the followinf issues: barriers in school, communication, coorparation, sopporting, integration and inclusion.

Course Objectives:

The main objectives of the course are the following ones: a) presenting and understanding the specifics of school education of Romani People in the Czech Republic, b) getting to know the specifics of conditions and other aspects of school socializationt, and c) understanding some key problem existing in the context of czech school educational system.

Requirement to student

  • You are expected to complete all assigned readings and exercises.
  • Participation also means: active involvement in discussion, postings, individual and group activities.
  • Analysis of the books, different texts related to the topics of the course.
  • Preparing the presentation on the selected topic of the course.
  • Presentation and Interpetation.
  • Discusssion.
