  • Examination methods: 1. analysis of portfolio; 2. in-depth analysis of assessment of student.
  • Status of the course in the study program: the course is a part of the study programmes Teaching Secondary schools, plan Common basis for Secondary schools (Mastery degree programme). The course is provided by the Department of Education and Adult Education.

Annotation:

In the Introductory seminar students are given the information about profession training and requests. In the following 20 teaching units they assist the teacher with organisation of the class, they help pupils individually. Also the students have the opportunity to perform in the units, they get immediate feedback from the teacher, the pupils and from the lecturer. Thus they get a closer look at the occupation of the teacher in the Czech Republic.

Requests:

Students reflect their activities in the class and their performances in written form as a part of their portfolio. The portfolio also includes preparations of lessons and samples of pupils´ work.

Topics:

The topics come out of the actual content of the subject tought in the concrete class.

Skills:

  • to prepare the lesson,
  • to be able to use teaching aids,
  • to choose and to use appropriate teaching methods,
  • to be able to make a feedback and to evaluate the lesson.
